Mariama Sillah is an IT Project Manager by profession and the Founder of Building Capacity & Bridges (BCB), a community-led initiative dedicated to empowering women and young people from underrepresented and socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Drawing on her expertise in project management, partnership development, and community engagement, Mariama designs and delivers impactful programmes that build confidence, develop employability and leadership skills, and connect individuals to education, training, and employment opportunities. Passionate about creating inclusive and equitable communities, she works collaboratively with local authorities, community organisations, and key stakeholders to tackle inequalities and expand access to opportunity. Through BCB, Mariam is committed to building capacity, fostering resilience, and creating sustainable pathways that enable individuals, families, and communities across Leeds and beyond to thrive.
