Adwina Smith is a dedicated education professional and Virtual School Advocate for looked-after children, specialising in safeguarding, inclusion, trauma-informed practice, and children’s mental health and wellbeing. A former Assistant Educational Psychologist and Inclusion (SEND) Officer, she has extensive experience supporting vulnerable children and families, advocating for child-centred approaches that improve educational, emotional, and life outcomes.

With over 20 years of experience working with autistic children and young people, Adwina brings deep expertise in neurodiversity, behaviour, and strengths-based practice. She holds a First-Class BA (Hons) in Education, Culture and Childhood and a First-Class MA in Psychology and Education from the University of Sheffield. Driven by both lived and professional experience, she is passionate about creating inclusive, compassionate systems where every child feels seen, supported, and empowered to thrive.
